1st May 2024 - The SRV Archive has bought the domain stevierayvaughan.com. In February 2024 this domain was subject to arbitration for the ownership, resulting from an action by the Estate. The Estate argued that the previous owner was cyber squatting, however the Arbitrators judged that the website was sufficient to warrant retention of ownership. A similar situation occurred in 2002, when a Chinese company obtained the domain and used it to advertise pornographic websites. It was ruled that the company had to hand over the domain to the Estate.
It would appear that the Estate forgot or decided not to renew the domain and therefore lost ownership of it in 2013.
Now the domain is owned by the SRV Archive and the website will continue to be developed in the future as a fitting legacy for Stevie.
