The Jim Ladd "Innerview" was an hour long, nationally syndicated radio program, which aired weekly on over 160 stations nationwide for twelve years. He interviewed a musician or a band every week and Stevie was his guest on the first show of 1984. The interview took place late in 1983.

Radio interview with SRV shared with Wang Chung. The programme consisted of chat with SRV, live phone call questions from listeners and 3 tracks played live in the studio. Stevie comes in on guitar just before the end of the studio version of ”Change It” and continues playing after it finishes.

The earlier Rockline shows were distributed on cassette as many of their affiliate stations didn't have satellite connections or reel to reel. Cassette was established and the cheapest way of transferring audio.

Earth News was a weekly show that pieced together interviews from film, music and art for play throughout the week. On this episode Stevie was featured on two segments March 30, 1987. One he discusses the story behind "Willie the Wimp". The second he discusses guitar players that had a big impact on him. He cites BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell and of course brother Jimmie.
