1992 - Sony Promo Mini Disc for the Grammy Awards

MiniDisc promo issued by Sony Music for the 1992 Grammy Awards. The disc contains 17 songs all from the Sony catalogue that were nominated for an award. SRV has Little Wing, which won a grammy for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance".

"Famous Blue Raincoat" is not strictly a SRV album, but it is one of his more famous sessions. A lot of producers regarded the album as almost ‘perfectly’ mixed, to the extent that a lot of Hi-Fi stores used this album to demo top-range equipment.
This sampler is a collaboration disc between Boston Acoustics (a top-range hi-fi manufacturer), and “Private Music” who originally published the Famous Blue Raincoat album.

1995 - MTV Unplugged CD-ROM (The Interactive Tour Featuring Over 70 Unplugged Artists)

Interactive CD-Rom issued by MTV which has 74 unplugged artists on it, including a short excerpt of SRV playing “Pride and Joy” from his MTV performance.

1995 - Music Screeners

Screensaver and game which uses 40 seconds of the video for “The House is Rockin’” It has 6 different screensavers from the video, plus 2 interactive games.

2009 - Disc Union Promo Box

Licensed custom promo box made by Disc Union to house the 9 Japanese mini replica LP sleeve CDs. The discs were not included and had to be bought seperately. Similar to the Sony promo box below, but made from sturdier card and slightly wider.

Custom promo box made by Sony to house 9 Japanese mini replica LP sleeve CDs. The discs were not included and had to be bought seperately. It is very slightly narrower than the Disc Union box and is therefore a tighter squeeze. It is also made from thinner gauge card.

2023 - Texas Flood (Vinyl Me Please Edition)

Vinyl Me Please is a subscription-based record club that releases exclusive records each month. Some records can be bought without being a member of the club, but to purchase the 2 SRV releases, you need to become a member. The company licences the recordings from the record company and then releases "special" editions of the albums. Texas Flood is the first SRV album that they have released. It comes with a unique booklet and print and is pressed on black and white vinyl.
